Hit another one under the bird feeder. He limped up to the railing and sat there for a bit while I reloaded. I took another shot and he disappeared over the edge. I had to go somewhere, so I did not immediately retrieve the body. When I went back, there was no body.
I guess I cannot count this as a kill. ;-)
