There have been several dead spots in the lawn for as long as I have lived here. Last year, I remedied the dead spot right under the sweet gum tree with a new flower bed in lieu of grass.
This year, I have expanded the left flower bed, making it about 30" wider and thus taking over an area where grass did not grow well.
For this task, I hired a landscaper (hispanic) to do the heavy digging and tilling. This is the result.
